The Liars Club

Award winning and internationally renowned Tiki Dive Bar and Caribbean Rum Shop, The Liars Club, is back with a new look and a new cocktail menu. The venue, which has long been a popular destination for Manchester’s rum lovers, reopened its freshly painted doors to the public on Friday 9th June.

At a cost of £250,000, the two-month long refurbishment included new entrance seating, fresh lighting and a higher ceiling. Situated on Bridge Street in the heart of the city, The Liars Club has relaunched with more than just a new lick of paint.

It’s also got a brand spanking new cocktail menu, where 20 tongue-tingling new tipples will sit alongside the bar’s infamous Zombie, which is made from a secret mix of various super-strength rums with absinthe, velvet falernum and cherry brandy and a blend of exotic fruit juices so strong drinkers are limited to two per person.

The new interior is typically loud and flashy; blending perfectly with the bar’s alcoholic offering. Bright yellow banquette seating lines the edge of the space with Polynesian-inspired wallpaper and prints. Tables come in the form of empty rum barrels that have been put to new use.

With the menu featuring names such as Painkiller; 5 Spice and Stormy; The Lost Lady, and South of St Johns, the team of first-class bar tenders have defined a list of drinks, ingredients and names to put Manchester firmly on the Tiki World stage with Tiki classics alongside Liars Club original drinks.

In true Liars Club style, the new selection of cocktails at this Polynesian paradise are not for the faint-hearted, alongside the 20 brand new cocktails, The Liars Club is housing more than 180 different rums from around the world, meaning rum lovers are literally going to be in Tiki heaven.

Tiki master and bar owner, Captain Lyndon Higginson said:

“We like to be full of surprises at The Liars Club and we look forward to reopening with our new look and new menu this Friday. The bar looks ace and I am super proud of our new cocktail menu with carefully selected world rums and Tiki classics, which I know our customers are going to love working their way through.”

The Liars Club also offers Cocktail Masterclasses where customers can learn about the history of rum and have a go at making some signature concoctions.

The Liars Club, Manchester’s number one Tiki Dive Bar and Caribbean Rum Shop, is open seven days a week from 5pm till 4am. The bar offers happy hour drinking from 5 till 9pm each day, with a third off sharers and two cocktails for £10.
