This Month in Premier Hospitality 7.5

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality.

In this month’s issue we take a look at the refurbishment of The Silverbirch Hotel in Omagh; we check out Jean-Georges at The Connaught; and we tuck in at Bistrot Pierre Kidderminster.

The Silverbirch Hotel in Omagh has completed a multi-million pound refurbishment in a bid to increase its share of the business event and wedding markets. The hotel has been transformed in a multi-phase refurbishment that has taken two years to complete. Renovations included an extension and complete refurbishment of the existing business centre and the construction of a new two-storey event space. A number of the external features of the hotel such as landscaping and parking have also been upgraded. The family-run business currently employs 120 staff and will celebrate 40 years in business later this year.

Meanwhile, created by world-renowned chef Jean-George Vongerichten, Jean-Georges at The Connaught is now open. Jean-Georges at The Connaught is a meeting place for both hotel guests and the neighbourhood. The restaurant overlooks fashionable Mount Street, in the heart of Mayfair, and offers informal gourmet dining, all-hours in a relaxed, contemporary setting. Illustrating the way The Connaught balances its distinguished heritage with a passion for the new, the restaurant has been redesigned by contemporary interior architect John Heah.

And finally, founded by childhood friends Robert Beacham and John Whitehead in 1994, Bistrot Pierre has grown steadily in the time since, with its Anglo-French dishes freshly prepared using the best locally sourced ingredients. Having first operated successful franchises in Nottingham and Derby, Bistrot Pierre now boasts over 20 sites across England. Most recently, the brand arrived in Kidderminster, bringing a taste of France to the area. Bistrot Pierre Kidderminster is part of the Riverside restaurant and retail development in the heart of the town, right on the banks of the River Stour.

With all this and more it’s time to sit back and tuck into another helping of Premier Hospitality.

Enjoy!
