Infrastructure PR and marketing specialist agency DTW has been nominated for a series of national and regional awards for its communications and video work on the New Wear Crossing project.

It has been shortlisted in five categories in the UK Public Sector Communications Awards for its work on the New Wear Crossing project, in conjunction with Sunderland City Council.

The agency has been nominated in the Media Relations category, and has also been shortlisted for Best Use of Video for the New Wear Crossing project, as well as Public Spirited Agency of the Year. You can view the New Wear Crossing videos on the project’s Youtube playlist. The company has also been shortlisted for three categories at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide awards for the same project.

The awards, which will be held in London in September, attract hundreds of entries from public sector organisations and agencies from across the UK.

Chris Taylor, Managing Director of DTW, said: “The projects we work on provide our team with some great opportunities to be really creative and deliver some excellent results. The way we all communicate with each other and engage with brands and organisations evolves every week and it is a hugely enjoyable challenge to dream up new ways of engaging with the public on behalf of our clients.”

He added: “High-quality imagery and video is critical to bringing major infrastructure projects to life. The opportunities you can get now with drone and time-lapse video mean that there are some really creative things you can do to help inspire people, showcase some incredible engineering and capture some unique perspectives. We work with some great partners that enable us to do that,”

DTW is a full-service PR and marketing agency based in Guisborough in Cleveland, offering a range of services, including PR, marketing, social media, web design, animation, video production, public engagement and reputation management. The company also works on the Mersey Gateway Project
