Digital-Space LTD

Digital-Space LTD was founded in 2000 by owner, principal and lead designer, Eyal Shoan. Over the past 17 years Digital Space has been involved with interior design and architectural projects worldwide, however, in more recent years has turned its focus to hotel and hospitality project design.

Amongst the company’s many projects are the design awarded hotel Art’otel Amsterdam (“Best Hotel Design” and “Best Restaurant Design”, Venuez 2014) and Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London, one of the biggest hotels in Europe with 1100 rooms, that won the Sleeper design award and rated among the ten best European business hotels. Other projects are the Park Plaza Riverbank London, Park Plaza Park Royal London, Victoria Amsterdam and Cyrus 1 yachts line.

In an interview with Eyal Shoan, Digital-Space LTD, he commented:

“With all our projects, we are involved in every aspect of the design and planning process, from concepts, planning and marketing, through details, furniture, art design and styling. We believe that the interior design is the core and should set the tone of a project. The Waterloo hotel was no different.”

Eyal personally led the design process, alongside all the consultants and planning team and worked very close with the client to fit the results to his needs and requests. This included optimisation of the floor layouts; the general design concept for the hotel; specific concepts for the different spaces; the planning of millwork and furniture; and general site managing and coordination.

Additionally he claims that “This type of project takes a few good years to finish. From the first stages of planning the design concept to seeing your designs come to life can take, on average, between two to four years. This long process makes the expectation and satisfaction of the result even greater. The Waterloo hotel is the same, but it also holds a special meaning, as we saw the great potential in this old office building and its location. We believed it would not only turn out to be a beautifully designed hotel but moving forward it will also stimulate the local atmosphere.”

“At Digital-Space we all live and breathe design, and are fully committed to making each project amazing. Atmosphere and guest experience are the key factors in our design, and our vast experience and proof of results are what make us a leading firm in hospitality design. Our full involvement in each aspect of the design and build, including the commercial aspects, ensure well balanced cost-effective projects with high-end design.”  E.S.
