Celebrating a Decade of Dylan Hotel
Dublin’s finest five-star boutique hotel is celebrating a decade since its opening. To mark the special occasion, the Dylan has officially unveiled a €10 million renovation with the addition of 28 new guest bedrooms, the creation of 15 hotel industry jobs and multiple interior updates to the building.
Nestled in the heart of Dublin’s most sophisticated quarter, just off Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4 – the hotel (formerly the Nurses’ Home for the Royal City of Dublin Hospital) has been in operation for just over ten years and began renovations in August 2016. The development to the Victorian property has seen its 44 deluxe bedroom offering extended to include an additional 28 guestrooms within the existing building.
With the expert assistance of Architect Gerry Murphy & Interior Designer Jean Feeney of MCA Architects, the new bedrooms have been designed to reflect the unique, signature style of the Dylan Hotel and blend seamlessly with the existing elegant period architecture. Drawing eclectic inspiration from Paris to Nashville, the bedrooms boast wooden oak floors, custom made bespoke furniture and brass, gold and chrome furnishings. With plush colour schemes and state of the art bathrooms equipped with mood lighting, every detail has been considered to ensure the utmost comfort and luxury for guests’ five-star stay.
The significant investment and development of the Irish owned Dylan Hotel has created a further 15 job positions including roles for Front of House, Chefs and in Sales, demonstrating the hotels commitment to the tourism industry in Ireland. Throughout the renovation process 50 jobs were created by the building project from local architects, builders and craftsmen.
Speaking at the Dylan Hotel, Gráinne Ross, Managing Director commented: “We are delighted to celebrate a decade of the Dylan Hotel being in business and officially unveil our new bedrooms and renovations. Our guests are at the heart of our business and we are excited to reveal our new rooms as we enter the next decade.
