This Month in Premier Retail 2-4

Welcome to Premier Retail – the premier construction tool for the retail industry.

In this month’s issue we take a look at the Bottletop; we check out the sweet aroma of Atkinsons; and we highlight the arrival of the fifth store for October’s Very Own (OVO).

Bottletop, the London based accessories label, has opened the doors to its flagship retail location at 84 Regent Street, with interiors that are futuristic and unique. The world’s first zero waste store interior creates an entirely new kind of shopping environment by marrying industrial design with contemporary art and cutting edge technology. Bottletop products blend artisanal production techniques from different cultures with elevated design and the finest sustainably sourced materials.

Meanwhile, perfumers to the British aristocracy – Atkinsons – have returned to Mayfair, their historic home, with the opening of a new Maison in Burlington Arcade. The flagship sits in striking distance of 24 Old Bond St, the iconic address to which the brand moved in 1832 and built its rich and characterful pedigree. Responsibility for breathing new life into Atkinsons’ imperishable love affair with Mayfair was given to London based Christopher Jenner who was briefed to reignite the brand’s relationship with a contemporary cast of Mayfair heroes, heroines and dandies.

And finally, Canadian streetwear brand October’s Very Own (OVO) appointed Brinkworth and Wilson Brothers to collaborate on their fifth stand-alone store. Building on the successful retail format of existing OVO stores, the designers have reinterpreted the concept to resonate in London’s Soho. Adam Brinkworth, CEO of Brinkworth said: “London’s Soho is on fire right now with so many strong independent brands positioning themselves in the neighbourhood. It’s been great to assist OVO in their first European store here.”

With all this and much more inside, please join us as we explore the projects which continue to shape the retail sector.
