Craic-ing new bar – O’Neill’s

Manchester’s brand new Irish pub, O’Neill’s Printworks, has opened following four weeks of extensive works.

O’Neill’s pubs are renowned as a hub for live music and sports and their new Printworks bar offers a comforting food menu for visitors to enjoy the easy –going Irish style tavern. Guests will also be able to tuck into freshly made stone-baked pizzas, 21 day aged steaks, mouth-watering ‘low and slow’ meat and rib options, as well as mix and match tapas including drunken mushrooms, pulled brisket croquettes and buttermilk boneless chicken pieces.

No Irish pub is complete without Guinness and at the new O’Neill’s Printworks there’s plenty to go around. But to accompany the popular stout, visitors will also be greeted with an extensive thirst-quenching drinks menu, boasting a wide selection of craft, beers, ales and ciders.

Speaking about bringing O’Neill’s Irish Bar to the Printworks, General Manager Stephen Winstanley said: “It’s been fantastic seeing the pub coming together. We can’t wait to welcome everyone and see our guest’s reactions.

“We’re bringing something completely new to the Printworks. Myself and the team are confident that our easy-going bar, live music and entertainment offer will go down well with all who come to pay us a visit.

“Being ideally located right in the heart of Manchester’s ever popular Printworks building, our pub is the perfect spot to get together with friends, family or colleagues to relax and unwind over good food amongst a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

“Along with our exciting menu we have a fantastic selection of drinks, including our extensive range of craft beers and ciders. O’Neill’s pubs have always been known for live sport and our brand-new HD video wall will really provide a ‘wow’ factor when watching the big game.”

Work on the refurbishment was undertaken by Spatialized, a multi-disciplined design studio with expert design experience in many sectors. Based in the North of England, Spatialized create amazing spaces across the length and breadth of the UK and beyond.

Following the extensive refurbishment and significant investment made at the pub, 30 new jobs were created for the local area with the team ready to pull pints and serve delicious food to guests.

“M&B are not just a client; they’ve been a mentor to us as a fledgling company. The journey has been long and mutually fruitful, and working on their excellent collection of brands fills me with pride.”

Andy added:

“At PDS Design & Build we pride ourselves on our ‘can do’ attitude and we like to think our clients know this when they appoint us.

“Clients have become very demanding, particularly over the last decade. Not only do they expect perfection, the delivery of an interior solution is now incredibly challenging on many fronts. Key aspects are quality of workmanship, health and safety standards, challenging working environments and situations, all against a backdrop of reduced contract periods.

“Our ethos is to ensure that every project wherever possible is successfully handed over on time and on budget, allowing our clients to get on with their business.”
