Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality International – our hospitality focus that celebrates projects worldwide. This issue we drop into The Whale Bar; we check in at the Hong Kong Grand Hyatt; and we cast an eye over The Bulgari Resort & Residences Dubai.
Located on the idyllic St Regis Maldives Vommuli Island Resort, The Whale Bar has been the subject of envious glances since opening in 2016.Modelled on the distinctive shape of the majestic whale shark, The Whale Bar was recently recognised as the overall winner of the SBID International Design Awards 2017. Designed by Singapore-based WOW Architects | Warner Wong Design, work designing The Whale Bar began in 2011 and brings a new dimension to the luxury resort overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Meanwhile, boasting a prime waterfront location on Hong Kong Island, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is a 5-star destination hotel. The hotel is home to 545 rooms and suites, nine world-class restaurants and bars and an extensive range of leisure facilities. In October 2017, one of the Grand Suites received industry recognition when it was awarded an International Design Award. The Ambassador Harbour View Suite came out on top in the Hotel Bedroom and Suites Design category. Created by Stewart Robertson, Principal/Director of BAR Studio, each suite within the hotel has a distinctive character and the Ambassador Harbour View Suite is no different.
And finally, the latest addition to the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts brand opened in December 2017. Ideally perched on Dubai’s Jumeira Bay, Bulgari Resort Dubai is an urban oasis on the seahorse shaped island.
