Cocktails at The Coach

A new half million pound rooftop bar and terrace at The Coach in Banbridge, Northern Ireland, has opened to rave reviews. Called Mr. Crozier’s Residence, it is located above The Front Bar and features a decadent cocktail lounge and outdoor roof terrace.  Thanks to its cosy intimate atmosphere, spectacular interior and not forgetting the excellent cocktails, it has quickly become the new go to spot in Banbridge.

Telling Premier Hospitality magazine about the feedback received, The Coach Complex Director, Victoria Patterson said: “The feedback has been very positive. The local community has really bought into it and it is something that has never been seen in the area before.

“It has made us realise that Banbridge has been crying out for something different and now people don’t have to travel to Belfast for this experience. We are about 35 minutes from the local city so I think it has given us as a company the confidence to further invest in The Complex. Following on from the completion of Mr. Crozier’s Residence we are now undertaking the second phase of renovations in the nightclub, having in 2014 undertaken a multi-million pound development.”

Work on the rooftop cocktail bar started towards the start of summer 2017 with the project completing and opening to customers in October 2017. To transform the space at The Coach, part of the roof of the building had to be removed and extensive building work and structural work was undertaken.

Victoria added: “We were trying to utilise the space that we had. There was a restaurant that wasn’t really performing and we believed that a rooftop cocktail bar was the way forward.”

Finishes in the cocktail bar include marble tops, beautiful glassware, handmade tiles from Italy and a bespoke aluminium roof shipped from America – all carried out under the watchful eye of award winning designers O’Donnell O’Neill.

“We had a very specific idea of what we wanted and that was a luxurious, classy cocktail bar with an outdoor area providing a first class experience for our customers,” said Victoria. “We are delighted with the final product and feel that we have created a unique selling point within the local area. Another aspect that I am very pleased with is the name of the bar itself – named after local explorer & hero Captain Francis Crozier from the 17th century.”

The Coach Complex comprises of The Front Bar & Restaurant, Mr. Crozier’s Residence, Coach Classic function room and the iconic Coach Nightclub all under the one roof and part of the Kali Ltd. Hospitality & Leisure Group
