Cairns Park

Following hot on the heels of the hugely popular Cairns Chase development, Story Homes’ Cairns Park development is a collection of 22 neighbouring properties.

Located in Stainburn on the outskirts of Workington, Cairns Park will be completed in spring next year and will boast a selection of high quality two, three, four and five bedroom detached and semi-detached homes. Set against the backdrop of stunning Cumbria countryside, Cairns Park is rapidly taking shape and has already garnered significant attention.

To find out a little more about the development, Premier Construction spoke to Hayley Blair, Head of Sales for Cumbria and South West Scotland, and Production Manager Richard Cannon. Hayley began:

“Cairns Park is a select development of 22 units and is an additional phase to our original development on Moor Road, Cairns Chase. We recently launched the development and demand from customers is high, with our show home due to open in April this year. The development boasts a mixture of two, three, four and five bedroom homes that are traditionally built. We are renowned for our street scenes, our different house types and exterior finishes – including render, brick and stone – all adding traditional character to this sensitivity designed development. The homes at Cairns Park will be built to exacting standards and always underpinned by the concepts of design, sustainability, community and regeneration.

“At Story Homes, quality takes precedence. The homes on our Cairns Park development will be stylish and attractive, but will have sensible layouts incorporating a blend of different finishes. The design of the properties will demonstrate Story Homes’ exceptional attention to detail, both in building in places where people want to live and creating homes that customers are proud to call their own. The homes will be finished to the highest specification, including features such as designer fitted kitchens with AEG appliances, Porcelanosa tiling and oak banisters with white spindles. The homes have also been designed so that light floods the property to create a spacious look and feel.”

Richard continued:

“The build programme for our Cairns Park development is right on track. We currently have approximately 12 properties under construction at the moment, ranging from three to five bedroom homes. The development is progressing very well and our first homes are almost ready for occupation.”

“As Cairns Park is a select site, the biggest challenge for this project is probably the on-site space constraints. Our teams work hard and communicate well with each other to create as much space as possible, and we also have an offsite area where we are able to store some materials which can be delivered as they are required.”

The new properties will improve choice across the local housing market and will help increase direct and indirect investment in local shops, services and facilities. Furthermore, the development will inevitably bring economic benefits to the area during the construction phase, including sustaining jobs for local sub-contractors and support for local businesses and supply chains. With Cairns Chase acting as the ideal showcase for the high quality properties that Story Homes builds, Cairns Park is already creating a real buzz amongst the local community.
