Harbor Club – New Caribbean haven

A stunning new Caribbean haven, Harbor Club St. Lucia, Curio Collection by Hilton, is the brand’s first property on the island with a host of facilities including 10 bars and dining outlets, four swimming pools, a spa, world class gym and meeting space.

Guest accommodation is in 115 spacious cabin-style rooms and suites

Owned by The Harbor Club Ltd., the nautically-inspired hotel in Rodney Bay Gros Islet, joined Curio Collection by Hilton in April 2018.

“As our first Curio Collection by Hilton property in St. Lucia, the signing of harbour Club speaks to our commitment to further expanding Hilton’s presence in the region,” said Gregory W. Rockett, vice president of corporate hotel development for Hilton.

“Recognised as a luxurious destination in the Caribbean, St. Lucia continues to see an increase in tourist arrivals year after year, and we look forward to returning to the island and providing travellers with an authentic experience.”

Overlooking the harbour and nearby mountains, Harbor Club’s 115 elegant cabin-like rooms and suites boast a contemporary design with nautical elements through carefully selected fabrics and dĂ©cor, inspired by Rodney Bay’s maritime heritage. Guests enjoy BVLGARI amenities, private terraces and direct swim-up access to select rooms.

With four bars and six distinct eateries, the hotel features everything from Italian fusion at Positano Santa Lucia, comfort cuisine at Julia’s and gourmet sushi at Crew Lounge on Sushi Deck, to coal fire oven pizza at the Dockside Pizzeria, home-baked creations at 7th Heaven and casual bites at Market Street Bar.

Approximately 7,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space complete the facilities.

“The signing of Harbor Club reflects the values of Curio Collection by Hilton with distinct amenities such as direct swim-up access to guest rooms and bespoke treatments at The Spa,” said Mark Nogal, global head of Curio Collection by Hilton.

“With the addition of this distinguished hotel to our global portfolio of nearly 50 hotels in more than 10 countries, we continue to expand the collection in the Caribbean and Latin America with remarkable properties that offer exceptional service and one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests.”

Less than 10 minutes away from Harbor Club, guests can explore Reduit Beach and Pigeon Island, a national landmark with military buildings and one-of-a-kind beaches across 44 scenic acres. The hotel provides complimentary water taxi service to Pigeon Island, where an exclusive area is available for Harbor Club guests.

“We are proud to partner with such a widely-recognised global hospitality company, particularly since the Curio Collection by Hilton pillars closely align with what we envision for the future of our hotel,” said Wes Hall, Owner of Harbor Club. “Through this alliance, we have introduced a new standard of upper upscale accommodation to travellers visiting St. Lucia.”

The iconic property is managed by Caribbean Hotel Services LLC, an affiliate of Aimbridge Hospitality LLC – a recognised hospitality management leader in the Caribbean.

“We are excited to manage this unrivalled hotel that truly defines an ultimate exclusive getaway in the Caribbean on the unspoiled island of St. Lucia,” said Dave Johnson, President and CEO, Aimbridge Hospitality.

“Not only is our team designing personalised vacation experiences for our well-traveled guests of all ages, this island paradise offers an exotic array of nature and sporting activities, both at the hotel and its surrounding archipelago.”

Harbor Club St. Lucia, Curio Collection by Hilton, is part of Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s 14 distinct hotel brands.

Hilton currently has a portfolio of approximately 20 hotels and resorts across the Caribbean. The company is actively pursuing additional Caribbean growth opportunities and currently has a pipeline of more than 10 hotels throughout the region.

The company has been in operation since November 2007 and within this time has built up an enviable portfolio of projects including Sugar Beach by Viceroy resorts, Coco Palm Hotel, Scrub Island Resort, Renaissance Carambola Beach resort, The Body Holiday, Rendezvous and ST Jude Hospital, amongst others.

Recently, Innovation St Lucia was appointed as the food service design consultant on Harbor Club St Lucia. Working on this project, Innovation St Lucia delivered the full project – including supply and installation – and is now working with the client on a monthly kitchen equipment service contract.

Innovation St Lucia Company Director, Carlos Philip, said:

“Harbor club is very special to us as this is the first LEED accredited hotel design project in the region with high emphasis on energy efficiency and Green products. We successfully delivered Green globe accredited products as well as kitchen ventilation systems with energy management systems designed to conserve energy.

“As this is our own design, we take pride in providing the client with very durable and economical equipment & furniture to the food and beverage areas.”

Carlos added:

“Our company has evolved rapidly in a short space of time, to represent high quality manufacturers in both commercial food service and domestic appliance sectors. This is primarily due to our belief in quality and durability rather than going for volume sales – which may be possible being in the mid or low range product sectors.

“We have invested in training our personnel on a regular basis either at factory locations in Europe or by bringing down factory engineers on island to train our team. As we are based on island and in the region, after sales support is key and one of our biggest advantages.”
