Keyline Announce Five Year Extension of Corporate Partnership with Prostate Cancer UK

Keyline, the UK’s largest supplier of Civils & Drainage solutions, has proudly announced it will be extending its existing corporate partnership with Prostate Cancer UK by five years.

Keyline has been working in partnership with Prostate Cancer UK (PCUK) since 2009 and hosts a number of regional and national fundraisers every year to raise awareness and funds for this great cause. Keyline’s Annual Rally is the main focal point of this and in its 9th year has exceeded £1million, from the Rally alone.

This year the Keyline Rally was themed the ‘Millionaires Rally’ and it took place in the original rally location, Monaco. The rally consisted of 30 cars and 70 drivers split into four teams, who departed from Keyline HQ in Swan Valley, Northampton and drove against the clock through to Monte-Carlo over five days.

Long standing supporter of PCUK and ex-professional footballer and manager, Luther Blissett took part in his car alongside wife, Lauren Fox. Joining Luther in bringing some celebrity sparkle was Tommy Walsh, English TV personality, presenter and celebrity builder, best known for his role in the Nation’s favourite, Ground Force. This was Tommy’s first time taking part in the rally, but he is also a long-standing supporter of PCUK.

Will Bywater, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Prostate Cancer UK said: “Keyline has been an incredible partner over the past nine years and we can’t thank them enough for the awareness and funds they have raised. We’re absolutely thrilled they have agreed to extend their support for a further five years. Prostate cancer kills one man every 45 minutes – a shocking statistic. It’s vital that we are spreading as much awareness about the disease and encouraging men to take note of their health. Keyline’s support over the past nine years has helped us do just that, and we’re excited to continue our partnership with Keyline to achieve our goal of stopping prostate cancer being a killer.”

Along with all the work Keyline has put in to raise money for PCUK, they are also keen to make sure their own male-dominated workforce is fully informed of the silent disease – which is why they surveyed them to see how much awareness has been created. A staggering 82 per cent answered that Keyline’s work with PCUK has helped them gauge a better understanding of the cancer.  In addition to this, a shocking 41 per cent stated that prior to joining Keyline, they were not aware of prostate cancer and its effects.  It’s rewarding to see that Keylines efforts have gone a long way in raising awareness about the cancer, along with the great deal of money they have managed to raise for such a great cause too.

Alongside other suppliers and customers are Keyline employees who are dedicated and have been taking part in the Rally for the past nine years. Waheeza Tegally-McNair, Marketing Manager at Keyline, comments “This is not only a fantastic experience, but the awareness we raise of prostate cancer through the rally alone is staggering. The decision to continue supporting this disease needs to be talked about more and we hope through raising money and encouraging men to talk about it we can make a difference. The fact that this rally has been going for nine years and has grown from strength to strength is thanks to the dedication of those that sign up each year. Myself and the rest of Keyline are incredibly proud to have exceeded the £1 million mark through the rally alone. Long may it continue.”
