Chris makes it a hat trick

Saxon ParkPicking up his third successive Pride in the Job award for his work on one site, is Chris Forster, site manager at Saxon Park, Fairbairn Road, Peterlee – a development by Bett Homes, part of the Gladedale Group.

Winning he says is a matter of “Building a good team of tradesman, being well organised and maintaining high standards of quality, including being on site all the time, motivating the team and making sure that everyone has all the information they need to do a good job.”

“All the team are very pleased – especially those who have been with me for the last three years in which we have won an award at this site. It really is a team effort.” said Chris, adding that the managing director visited the site specially, to personally congratulate everyone.

Chris has been involved in the construction industry for 24 years since he left school. After starting as a bricklayer, he subsequently decided to attend college to study for an HNC and HND in building studies, setting him on the path to becoming a site manager. He has been with Bett Homes for six years.

“We were all delighted that all of our hard work was rewarded yet again” he said.

The development is making good progress, attracting buyer interest and is due for completion in July 2012.

Saxon Park is a distinctive development of 100 properties including new-build and refurbished homes including two and three bedroom mews, two and three bedroom semi-detached, and three and four bedroom detached properties. Each home offers the very latest in stylish living in Peterlee – a major centre of employment, with industrial estates and business facilities throughout the town.

Peterlee is a popular residential town with a good range of amenities and leisure facilities in and around the town. The town centre accommodates an array of high street shops and independent stores, along with a range of supermarkets.

For outdoor pursuits and days out, there is much to see and do in the surrounding area, with a variety of cultural and leisure attractions.

Gladedale Homes realise that many homebuilders make similar claims of reliability, but in this company’s case, the evidence is in the quality of their homes and the longevity of their companies.

Gladedale Homes have been a major force in the UK new homes sector for many years and, in 2009, successfully revived the residential division of three much-loved brand names; Bett Homes in Scotland and the North East, Ben Bailey Homes in Yorkshire and the Midlands, and Country & Metropolitan Homes in the South East. Across Scotland, Manor Kingdom is a sought-after brand for luxury homes, with a reputation for superior style, both inside and out. Uniting all companies is a deep-rooted commitment to quality.

Each and every home shares the Gladedale Group’s trademark of quality workmanship, commitment to design and attention to detail – characteristics upon which Gladedale built their enviable reputation. The company is also passionate about conservation, and work closely with the guardians of Britain’s history, including the Tree Preservation Council, English Heritage, the Environmental Agency and many other historical and archaeological societies.

Gladedale Homes use the best of existing, natural landscapes to create beautiful backdrops, while internally the careful use of natural materials creates a feeling of space and comfort. The very highest specifications can be expected as standard, from first class built-in appliances, to integral sound systems and smart home-management technology in larger properties.
