Kingston Riverside

Kingston Riverside- Henry Macaulay Avenue, Kingston upon Thames

Situated on Henry Macaulay Avenue, Kingston upon Thames, Kingston Riverside is a Ā£130 million waterside residential development, currently under construction.

Work started on the Redrow Homes London development in November 2011 and is currently on course to reach completion in autumn 2014.

Sitting majestically on the Thames, Kingston Riversideā€™s distinctive design is modelled on the gentle curves associated with open water and comprises a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses. Prices range from Ā£280,000 for one bedroom apartments, Ā£405,000 for two bedroom apartments and Ā£910,000 for three bedrooms, all designed in a sophisticated contemporary style.

To facilitate the construction of Kingston Riverside, the development has been divided into two distinct phases: The Trafalgar Building and The Admiral Building. The current phase of works is concentrating on The Trafalgar Building which stretches up to 11 storeys, whilst The Admiral Building goes up to 16 storeys.

In total there will be 210 apartments at Kingston Riverside, which includes a central platform which runs to six storeys, along with parking provisions for 137 vehicles in the basement. All of the apartments at Kingston Riverside will include a balcony or terrace.

Midgard is the main contractor on Kingston Riverside, whilst Broadway Malyan is the scheme architect and Sprunt is Midgardā€™s architect. Fairhurst is the consultant engineer and White Associates is the building services engineer.

At present work is taking place on the buildingā€™s concrete frame and the internal fit-out works continue. First completions will take place in summer 2013, however a marketing suite and show apartment was launched in April 2013.

Kingston Riverside is being constructed on the site of a former power station which had remained vacant and part demolished for the past ten years. The site was viewed as an eyesore for the local community, so the new development will enhance the work being undertaken to regenerate the area.

Kingston Riverside will boast an unrivalled location and offer views that reach out across the Thames, Hampton Court Park and Bushy Park.

The new development also benefits from great transport links, with Kingston Rail Station just seven minutes walk away and Heathrow Airport just 40 minutes by car. Once work is complete on Kingston Riverside, Redrow Homes will begin work on a further development ā€“ Riverwalk Apartments ā€“ which will comprise a 150 bedroom hotel and 137 apartments.
