Dear readers,

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality. In this month’s issue we take a look at the new Karl Lagerfeld store, which has arrived on London’s Regent Street; we get the lowdown on The City Barge; and we unveil the brand new dining experience from leading chef Simon Rogan – Fera at Claridge’s.

The new Karl Lagerfeld Regent Street concept store combines the brand’s aspirational and accessible luxury collections and iconic design aesthetic with cutting-edge digital technology. The store showcases the world of Karl Lagerfeld: men’s, women’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections, including handbags, leather goods, watches, eyewear, scarves, footwear as well as limited editions and special objects. Spanning 250-sq-m the biggest European Karl Lagerfeld store to date features award-winning Karl Lagerfeld interior d.cor and encapsulates the distinctive essence of the Karl Lagerfeld brand.

Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld, said: “Regent Street provides us with an exceptional opportunity to position our brand in this important market.”

Meanwhile, following an extensive refurbishment, the historic 14th century public house, The City Barge is due to re-open in late May 2014. The City Barge, Chiswick aims to be the ultimate Thames-side pub, featuring a welcoming bar, stunning dining room, large open kitchen and considerable outside space, all right on the river.

Robin Belither, from the City Barge, commented:

“The City Barge is everything you would want in a local pub – in winter it’s the perfect cosy spot to warm up and enjoy an intimate drink or dinner. In summer, the incredible outside space and riverside location speak for themselves. We hope it

will offer residents, local businesses and Thames walkers both an everyday treat and a destination for a special occasion.”

And finally, Fera at Claridge’s is the brand new restaurant from Michelin starred chef, Simon Rogan. The new restaurant opened its doors on the 6th May – replacing Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s – and serves up a selection of dishes which make use of some of the best seasonal ingredients available.

Taking its name from the Latin word for wild, Fera was expertly designed by Guy Oliver of Oliver Laws and showcases a connection to the elements through the use of colour, art and materials.

In reference to his new restaurant, Simon said:

“This is a massive honour and we are focused and determined to create a truly outstanding restaurant.”

Enjoy!
