Kind & Company was originally founded 70 years ago and has continued to grow into a highly regarded principal contractor serving London and the South-East. Employing 75 permanent staff the firm and over 150 regular sub-contractors the firm has a range of expertise to draw upon.

The company delivers a wide range of new-build and refurbishment projects for the region’s healthcare, education and commercial market sectors together with housing for registered social landlords and private developers.

They have a turnover topping £30 million and have established a reputation for quality as they have continued to provide stable principal construction services to the people, authorities and businesses of London and south-east England. They have in-house services which cover project and site management, surveying, buildablity advice, estimating, supply chain management and resident liaison.

The firm is based in Leytonstone, London and so is ideally to deliver both new build and refurbished properties to the Housing; Healthcare; Education; Commercial and Leisure market sectors. These include ASRA Housing Association, Kings College London, Genesis Housing Group, Origin Housing, Guy’s and St Thomas’, Harlow Health Centres Trust Ltd, Peabody Trust, RSPB, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queen Mary University London, Redbridge Healthcare NHS Trust and YMCA.

The firm place a lot of emphasis on the preservation of the environment and natural resources and so increasingly used renewable energy sources. They now have extensive experience in the use of renewable energy sources and installation of the technologies available to exploit them.

Solar hot water panels, Photo-voltaic arrays, Wind catchers, light-wells and their distribution infrastructure and Green/brown roofs and rainwater harvesting are often utilised. The firm also uses ground and air source heat pumps and exchangers, materials from renewable or managed sources, CHP Biomass Boilers, energy efficient lighting and composting toilets in a bid to do their bit for the environment.
