Established in 1958, G Dighton and Sons is a family owned and run partnership of three brothers, specialising in the new build, extension and refurbishment of residential and commercial buildings.

The award winning trio boast an Ibstock Download prize and two Oxford Preservation Trust prizes for their works in Oxfordshire.

Projects by G Dighton and Sons include residential, commercial and refurbishment building works.

Residential projects include Lime Walk which entailed building a number of one and two bedroom flats, six two and three bedroom flats at Sunderland Avenue and detached four bedroom family homes at Upland Park Road as well as a number two bedroom flats on Queens Court and detached properties with four and six bedrooms on Kennington Road.

Working in the commercial sector, G Dighton and Sons have worked on Lime Tree Mews building three three storey office blocks as well as the twice award winning 77 London road; a commercial and office unit. Refurbishment projects include Warnborough Road, St John Street and Norham Road.

The company have a number of new and exciting building projects in the pipeline including the construction of a brand new detached high specification five bedroom home at Harberton Mead, six new dwellings and a refurbishment project at Woodstock Road and the refurbishment of Oxford Playhouse.

G Dighton and Sons pride themselves in holding an exemplary safety record spanning 53 years, with health and safety being at the foremost of the company’s thoughts at all times. Independent consultants regularly advise the company on new legislation with a full training programme in place.

Membership with The Considerate Constructors Scheme means that all aspects of health, safety and environmental issues are dealt with quickly by regular site visits by the scheme. Similarly, G Dighton and Sons are registered with the Construction Industry Training Board who is dedicated to advancing the skills as well as the health and safety of G Dighton and Sons work force and trainees. The company have been a member of the National House Builders Council for over 40 years, with A1 status.

G Dighton and Sons are registered with the Oxford Education Business Partnership as approved work experience providers.
