O’Hare & McGovern was founded in 1972 as a small contracting firm and since its inception has grown into part of a multi-faceted organisation specialising in general contracting, house-building, civil engineering, shopfitting, private development and Public Private Partnership.
O’Hare’s forms the construction division of Newry based Carnbane House Group. O’Hare & McGovern Ltd, referred to as OHMG, are an established Main Contractor with over 40 years experience in delivering high quality projects across Great Britain and Ireland with an impressive turnover of over £100million. OHMG offers an array of services including Design Development, Construction, Project Management and Facilities Management services across a range of Building, Civil Engineering and Fit out projects for both public and private sector clients.
OHMG have established an enviable portfolio over the last 40 years and have delivered an array of UK award winning Sustainable projects to exemplar HSQE standards within budget and to programme. The firm works in numerous sectors including Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Hotels & Leisure, Residential, Community, Offices & Industrial and Custodial.
OHMG have an extensive Contracts Department which has exceptional experience of managing and delivering projects under various forms of contract. The team has gained knowledge working with Bespoke PPP and PFI Contracts, GC Works, JCT, Design & Build, NEC and Public Works Contracts as both a traditional contractor and a Design & Build Contractor.

O’Hare & McGovern Ltd are accredited to ISO 14001 and have established, implemented and maintained an effective Environmental Management System, which covers all aspects of the company’s activities. This system is in use throughout the company and has been developed to best suit effective control of all aspects of construction work.
