Bouygues Leadbitter is a subdivision of Bouygues UK, a diversified industrial group founded in 1952 by Francis Bouygues. Leadbitter became part of the Bouygues Group in 2012 – operating under the name Bouygues Leadbitter – and delivers schemes to meet the highest standards.
A recent project for Bouygues Leadbitter is the Collingwood House scheme in Fareham, Hampshire. The £5 million project comprised the construction of a 40-unit sheltered housing scheme for elderly residents, with associated parking. The project was built for Fareham Borough Council, with Parnell Design Partnership as the architect on the scheme. Work began on the project in late 2013 and reached completion in April 2015.
Another recent project was the construction of 65 care apartments for the elderly, at the former Garth Hill College site in Bracknell, Berkshire. The Design & Build project – which was implemented by Bracknell Forest Homes – comprised the construction of the apartments, along with associated parking and landscaping. Bouygues Leadbitter acted as main contractor on the project, alongside CHBC Architects and landscape architect, ACD Landscape Architects.
The aforementioned projects have also been joined by the Buttercross Extra Care Retirement project. The scheme comprised the construction of a new extra care retirement home on Station Lane in Witney, Oxfordshire. The project – which was implemented by Cottsway Housing Association Limited – was an £8 million scheme, with Bouygues Leadbitter spearheading the works, alongside Sutton Griffin Architects as the architectural practice. Works included the installation of a new mains supply, new access and a mix of soft and hard landscaping.
As a part of the Bouygues Group, Bouygues Leadbitter is amongst a unique collection of construction specialists which are helping to shape the UK construction industry.
