Dear readers,

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality.

In this month’s issue we pop across to The Lanesborough London which has undergone an extensive revamp and transformed the luxury hotel’s bedroom suites and public areas across all five floors.  Travel with us from the buzzing city centre to rural, relaxing Surrey and explore the recently refurbished Inn at West End.

Our first stop is The Lanesborough; located on the borders of Knightsbridge and Belgravia, with panoramic views of Hyde Park, the venue now offers guests 93 newly revamped bedrooms, 43 of which are suites with the largest, The Royal Suite.

The renovation also extends to all public areas of the hotel include the restaurant, The Library Bar, cigar lounge The Garden Room, seven private dining rooms, and the back-of-house areas.

Works began on the renovation scheme on the 20th December 2013 when The Lanesborough closed for an unprecedented renovation. The venue reached its final stages in 2015 opening to guests in July.

A team of artisans worked on the project using age-old techniques and were entrusted to deliver a distinctive form of luxury. The craftsmen were specialists in their fields including embroiderers, crystal specialists, cabinet makers, bronzers, lacquerers, gilders, mirror specialists, and makers of decorative trimmings. Over 300 people were involved in the day-to-day transformation of the hotel, allowing for exceptional time and care to be taken into each detail.

Last stop is at the Inn at West End which has a major refurbishment including the construction of a bedroom extension, the upgrading of the kitchen, dining area and bar and extensive re-decoration.

The development has been a long-held ambition for pub owners Gerry and Ann Price and has been 15 years in the making before finally come to fruition.

Incorporating 12 boutique luxury rooms, the new single storey bedroom extension has been designed in the style of a stable block with a central clock tower. The timber framed building features rendered external elevations and a pitched tiled roof.

“The AA four star rated bedrooms include high quality fixtures and fittings throughout, top quality beds with Hypnos mattresses and wet-room style bathrooms with heated mirrors. We have decorated each room individually and each has one wall decorated in highly distinctive wallpaper,” said Ann Price.

With all this and more, it’s time to sit back and tuck into another helping of Premier Hospitality.

Enjoy!

Alex
