Breakfast to bedtime, Trafford Centre

The all-day appeal of the New Orleans dining quarter at intu Trafford Centre is to be enhanced with the renowned ‘breakfast to bedtime’ offer at a brand new Bill’s Restaurant.

Major restaurant chains are regularly choosing intu owned shopping centres for their roll out plans benefiting from national coverage, a family-oriented approach and 400m footfall, equivalent to every UK citizen visiting six times a year. Customers frequently include a meal during a visit to a shopping centre, making new choices like Bill’s Restaurant an important part of the tenant mix.

A spokesperson from Bill’s Restaurant said:

“As well as its retail, intu Trafford Centre is well known for its dining and leisure attractions. It has one of the highest footfalls of any shopping centre outside London, making it the obvious choice for a new Bill’s Restaurant.”

The atmospheric area is on the upper level of the super-regional prime shopping centre and part of the popular dining and entertainment section called The Orient. It includes the Mardi Gras pub, operated by JD Wetherspoon, and The Bandstand, which hosts live music every Friday and Saturday night. Adding to the theatre of the quarter are shutters, wrought iron balconies, a jazz band statue plus washing on a line that blows in the breeze.

Bill’s Restaurant, which is taking 2,600 sq ft of space on a 20 year lease, will be close to new Coast to Coast and wagamama restaurants with all three opening in Autumn 2015. In recent months, nearby Café Rouge, Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Zizzi have also had major refits.

intu Trafford Centre, which opens most days from 10am to 10pm giving its own breakfast to bedtime experience, has some 60 restaurants, cafes and bars plus over 200 shops. TripAdvisor awarded it with a 2015 Certificate of Excellence and Yelp heralded it with a ‘People love us on Yelp’ accolade. Both awards recognise consistently high scores given by visitors to the centre.

Julian Wilkinson, regional director of intu, said: “Customers today want great dining and leisure attractions as well as top retail brands like Selfridges, Hamleys and Hollister. That’s why Bill’s Restaurant will be such a great addition to the centre. We have an impressive 31 million footfall with each customer looking for compelling experiences that means they will visit more often and stay for longer.”
