Readie Construction

Based in Romford, Essex, Readie Construction is well established main contractor delivering a mix of new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects.

The company works in various sectors – including retail, industrial and commercial – and has an annual turnover of around £70 million.

Since the company formed, Readie Construction has worked with many notable clients, from Goodman, Roxhill and Prologis, to British Land, Metric Property Investments PLC, B&Q and Kuenhe + Nagel.

Projects for Readie Construction include two new build industrial units in Heston, Middlesex; a new cross dock warehouse in Dagenham; and a storage hub warehouse in Kent. The storage hub in Kent, valued at £5.5m, was a 26 week project built on behalf of Kent County Council. The project included the construction of a storage facility, with office and warehouse space.

The Heston-based project involved the construction of two new industrial units, the first of which was built for use as an internet shopping facility, whilst the second unit was constructed for Heathrow Market. The dock warehouse project in Dagenham, meanwhile, saw the erection of a brand new 60,000ft² BREEAM Excellent facility, along with two new adoptable road bridges.

Other projects have included new retail units in Burgess Hill; the refurbishment of a store for Dixons Retail; and three new warehouse units in Aylesford, Kent.

A spokesperson for Readie Construction, said:

“Readie Construction commenced trading in 2008 and has grown to become a £70m turnover company within seven years. The company is privately owned and managed by a dynamic team with a wealth of experience in all aspects of the construction industry.

“Turnover, profit and net value have grown every year since our inception; we have always traded without any debt or overdraft.

“The growth of the business continues to be achieved without any business development or marketing resource, a very real measure of both the quality of our staff and the level of service provided to our repeat business clients.”

With all of its work Readie Construction adheres to the best practice standards of construction, utilising innovative design and energy efficient products where possible. Reducing energy consumption is also of paramount importance to Readie Construction.

A spokesperson for Readie Construction, said:

“The Readie Construction team can demonstrate a track record of delivering tangible success in reducing energy consumption by investigating and providing a wide range of renewable and specialist design features. The directors have experience of delivering excellent BREEAM and LEED ratings on a number of projects. We are also keen to investigate new emerging technologies to achieve these goals.”
