The pools at the North East’s newest spa have been praised for the high quality of their water.
The multi-million pound Spa at Ramside at Ramside Hall Hotel, County Durham opened in August 2015 with state-of-the-art facilities which include a 25 metre swimming pool; one of the UK’s largest hydrotherapy pools with swan necks and massage jets, a whirlpool and an outdoor vitality pool set in the Spa Herb Garden and a balcony infinity pool. The pools recently underwent testing under the Code of Practice for the management and treatment of swimming pool water and were given the great news that all the pool water was virtually perfect.

A luxury hotel and spa, Ramside Hall is set in 350 acres of stunning grounds. Known as the largest privately-owned luxury hotel in County Durham, Ramside Hall has built its reputation on offering good value and a personal touch for its visitors. On its opening, the award winning spa at Ramside Hall created 60 new jobs with the spa being part of a £16m development to make Ramside Hall one of the most exciting leisure attractions in the region.

Treatments at the spa include signature treatments that have been specially created for the Spa at Ramside by ESPA.
Other facilities at the Spa include 14 luxurious treatment rooms, a darkened sleep retreat with soundwave therapy bed and sumptuous sleep pods, a Middle Eastern Mud Rasul Chamber, a Beauty Snug complete with nail bar, pedicure thrones and make-up parlour, plus a light relaxation balcony.
A state-of-the-art gym is also on site and offers a fully equipped gym with Life fitness cardio vascular and strength machines and free weight areas. There are also spacious studios with over 40 classes and personal trainers available.
The Spa also has its own Asian Fusion Restaurant offering nutritional and healthy breakfasts, delicious brunch and lunch options, afternoon tea with a twist and dinner. There is also a wide selection of Asian bar tapas and hot and cold sandwiches available as well as freshly squeezed juices and fresh smoothies.
