Ground-breaking kitchen design studio launches – Kitchen Gallery

Kitchen Gallery

World class kitchen design has arrived at Birmingham’s premier lifestyle and shopping destination, with the opening of a ground-breaking new flagship SieMatic kitchen studio at the Mailbox shopping centre, in June.

Thought to be the first luxury kitchen company to open in a high-end shopping mall in the UK, the new showroom was launched at the Mailbox by Kitchen Gallery, which already has award-winning showrooms in Shirley and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Currently available in over 52 countries on five continents, SieMatic is recognised as one of the leading international brands in bespoke kitchen design, catering for residential projects and luxury yachts.

The new Kitchen Gallery showroom features a number of ‘firsts’ for both the SieMatic brand worldwide, and for the UK.

The showroom, which has been created through collaboration between Kitchen Gallery and SieMatic’s team of designers, features SieMatic’s first private, apartment-style VIP Design Room, where customers, architects and designers can relax while they discuss designs, while listening to music and enjoying refreshments.

The new venue showcases SieMatic’s three lifestyle collections: Urban, Pure and Classic, with fully functioning kitchens and smart technology for appliances, lighting and entertainment throughout.

The kitchens are displayed as part of luxurious lifestyle settings and feature luxury appliance brands, including Siemens and Gaggenau.

The studio is the first showroom outside London to feature Gaggenau’s new ‘sous-vide’ vacuum cooking in which food is sealed in a special bag. It is also the first outside London to display furniture from world-renowned designer, Walter Knoll, amongst other leading designers, such as Moooi Lighting.

In addition, the studio has been designed as an entertainment space, and hosts regular events, such as celebrity chef demonstrations, wine tastings and collaborations with other luxury goods, such as watch and jewellery brands.

The showroom also features the latest design and presentation technology, with smart TVs and tablets displaying inspirational kitchen designs.

Comments Tahir Mahmood, managing director of Kitchen Gallery: “We are proud to set new standards for kitchen design studios. The Mailbox is a premium destination that is perfectly aligned with the SieMatic brand and, with the space and facilities available, we would like the showroom to be a focal point for architects, developers, designers and individual clients.”

SieMatic designer and architect, Marc Sporer, who worked with Kitchen Gallery on the design of the new showroom comments: “Our design philosophy for the Mailbox runs in line with the holistic approach for new SieMatic showrooms, and creates a unity between all flagship studios across the world.

“We have used the Mailbox to push this concept further, and have incorporated many unique elements that have never been seen in a SieMatic showroom.

“The kitchens have been designed especially for the showroom, with unique combinations and elements that you will not find on display anywhere else in the world. There are also new ways of displaying the exceptional interiors of the kitchens, including the innovative, flexible Multi-Matic storage system.”

Bernard Otulakowski, managing director of SieMatic UK, says: “The Mailbox offers a unique opportunity to present our kitchen lifestyle collections to customers with the highest demands of style, quality and service.

“Our longstanding retail partner, Kitchen Gallery, understands the needs of these customers and offers a personal design and project management service. Our designers have created a truly inspirational studio and we are thrilled to be at the Mailbox.”
