This Month in Premier Retail 1-8

Welcome to Premier Retail – the premier construction tool for the retail industry.

In this month’s issue we take a look at the first international concept store for ASSOS; we cast our eye over Duke & Dexter; and we continue our preview of the Retail Design Expo 2017.

Luxury Swiss cycling brand ASSOS have just opened their first international concept flagship store in Regent Street, London, using an inspired new interior design concept to showcase the brand’s full range of clothing, helmets, eyewear and accessories. According to ASSOS the store is an “all-new mono-brand store on one of the world’s most prestigious shopping streets.”

Meanwhile, one of Britain’s most popular online footwear specialists has made its first move onto the high street with the opening of a flagship store in London’s Covent Garden. The new store opened in November 2016, following a quick fit out by London based firm Dreambox.

Archie Hewlett, founder and director of Duke & Dexter, said: “The store works perfectly in terms of shape and structure for us. It’s fairly thin and narrow which works for fitting shoes. We didn’t want to be too intense with the displays. Each of the shoe collections is very different and there is a variety of materials, prints and colours used.”

And finally, now in its third year, Retail Design Expo is a specialist retail design and branding event and brings together the very finest exponents of retail design, visual merchandising, branding and in-store experience. The expo is a clear reflection of how the retail sector is responding to the increasingly discerning consumer and showcases solutions from designers, architects, shopfitters, specialist contractors and more.

This latest event takes place at the London Olympia on 8-9 May 2017. The event has become the place to be for those involved in the creation of effective stores and leisure & hospitality venues, with guests travelling across the world to visit.

With all this and much more inside, please join us as we explore the projects which continue to shape the retail sector.
