Railtex 2017

Railtex 2017

From 9th to 11th May, The National Exhibition Centre at Birmingham will host Railtex 2017.

Set against a background of continuing high levels of investment in the UK in both railway infrastructure and rolling stock fleets, the show will again be the all-encompassing showcase for technological innovation across all sectors of the supply market.

The last Railtex in May 2015 was the biggest for over ten years. Welcoming more than 10,000 railway industry professionals and 468 exhibitors, the event was widely regarded as the most effective of these shows for many years.

As well as providing a shop window for the UK’s leading suppliers of railway technology and services, Railtex 2015 also confirmed the attractiveness of the British market for foreign companies, with exhibitors from 20 countries present at the exhibition. This increased international dimension to Railtex was also evident in its visitor profile, with almost 10% of those attending coming from outside the UK.

Organisers Mack Brooks Exhibitions aim to continue this successful trend at Railtex 2017, creating an unrivalled B2B and networking platform that demonstrates the best the UK supply sector has to offer, introduces innovations from foreign firms and attracts the managers, engineers and buyers that exhibitors wish to meet.

Complementing the exhibition will be a full supporting programme that will include keynote speeches, industry seminars and project updates providing valuable insights into developments in policy and technology − plus all the familiar features that have earned Railtex its reputation as the UK’s premier rail event.

Railtex 2017 was officially launched during Infrarail 2016 (www.infrarail.com) and CITE 2016 (www.cite-uk.com).

Railtex is the essential showcase for products and services for all sectors of the rail market in the UK. The show is held biennially and has successfully served this market for well over 20 years. It is organised by Mack Brooks Exhibitions (www.mackbrooks.com), which also runs the Infrarail series of railway infrastructure technology events and the CITE – Civil Infrastructure Technology & Equipment shows.

Outside the UK, the company’s regular rail industry exhibitions include SIFER in France and EXPO Ferroviaria in Italy.
