The Grand Hotel Takes Home Gold At The CHS Awards

The Grand Hotel & Spa, York has taken the title of Best Boardroom / Small Meeting Room at the Conference Hospitality Awards hosted in Leeds.

The Grand, Yorkshire’s only five-star hotel, was also highly commended in the Best Welcome Guest Experience category.

Now in its third year, the national CHS Awards showcases the very best of the UK hospitality industry with 17 award categories ranging from Best Venue Communication to Best Bedroom.

Philip Bolson, General Manager at The Grand Hotel & Spa said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won a CHS award for the second year in a row, particularly one recognising our magnificent, Grand Boardroom.

Built as a Palace of Business in 1906 for one of the most powerful railway companies in Edwardian England, North Eastern Railway, no expense was spared in the pursuit of luxury, which is why The Grand Hotel & Spa, now boasts some of the finest meeting rooms in York. The Historic Grand Boardroom is The Grand’s flagship space and offers a perfect setting for up to 120 guests.

The magnificent Grand Boardroom and adjoining Chairman’s Suite offer splendid settings for meetings, with fabulous views of York Minster and the City Wall as a backdrop. Delegates have the aid of The Conference and Events Team to ensure that all details, no matter how small or large, are met and managed as required.
