The William Vale

The William Vale, a 183-room hotel is located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn and is being recognised as reshaping the fashionable area by attracting tourists and locals alike, via its eye-catching design and forward thinking approach to hospitality.

Known as a Brooklyn-based hub for Manhattanites and a backyard for the Williamsburg community, The William Vale is a multi-use venue that brings retail, food & beverage, hotel and public spaces together to create a destination for visitors.

Created by New York architects Albo Liberis, The William Vale stands at 23 stories, offering expansive views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.

The pet-friendly rooms, including 25 suites and the Vale Garden Residence, were designed by Studio Munge. The interiors are described as ‘light’ and ‘futuristic’ with discrete details, dove greys and bond wood. Floor to ceiling glass walls offer incredible views of Brooklyn to those occupying the hotel whilst sliding white glass doors, edged with black open into the bathroom.

The site also offers a variety of dynamic event spaces, both indoor and outdoor, ideal for conferences, weddings, off-sites, fundraisers, private dinners, intimate cocktail parties and more. Event spaces include:

  • Vale Ballroom & The Foyer
  • Upstairs at Westlight, located on the 23rd floor rooftop
  • Board & Conference Rooms
  • Vale Park, an elevated green space
  • Vale Terrace

The hotel boasts the longest outdoor hotel pool in New York City, at 60 feet in length with a 5,000 square foot outdoor pool deck surrounded by cabanas, daybeds, pergolas, and lounge chairs. The William Vale is also home to a rooftop bar, Westlight, offering 360° views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. A high-tech fitness centre looks out onto the pool.  Vale Park is a 15,000 square foot, elevated green space for hotel guests and the community. It offers grassy knolls, an urban garden and benches, and overlooks the skyline and walkways.

On-site parking is offered 24/7 at The William Vale with valet parking and EV charging, as well as monthly parking passes available. Prices start at as little as $5 for 1 hour up to $27 for 24 hours.

Award-winning chef Andrew Carmellini of The Dutch, Locanda Verde, Bar Primi and more directs The William Vale’s distinct culinary concepts: Leuca, a Southern Italian restaurant with wood-fired coastal cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere; Westlight, a 22nd floor rooftop bar serving rare spirits, craft cocktails and small plates with panoramic skyline views; and Mister Dips, a retrofitted 1974 Airstream, serving burgers, fries and seasonal dairy dips in Vale Park. Vale Pool offers light and summery cocktails as well as a menu of bar snacks and in-room dining features an all-day menu of modern American classics and seasonal dishes from Carmellini and the team.

The William Vale is an art-infused property with hundreds of pieces carefully placed throughout the suites, lobby and event spaces. In close coordination with the Brooklyn Arts Council, The William Vale selected artwork that was produced in Brooklyn by local artists. Most notable, internationally recognised artist Marela Zacarias, sculpted a site-specific work of Brooklyn that adorns the entrance of the lobby area.

As General Manager, Sėbastien Maingourd directs day-to-day hotel operations. An accomplished hospitality executive with nearly 20 years of international boutique, resort and corporate hotel experience, Maingourd ensures every guest at The William Vale enjoys a truly world-class hospitality experience.

Double rooms at The William Vale start at $325 (£295) in low season; and from $425 (£334) in high season. Each room has complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast mains start from $11 (£9).
