WELSH aluminium fabricator Dudley’s Aluminium has secured a major contract to help and support the construction of the property development, Bayscape in Cardiff Marina.

The company secured the contract, in excess of £1million with BECT Building Contractors, to install the Kawneer curtain walling façade in the eight-storey building, as well as state-of-the-art windows and doors across the 115 apartments.

Dudley’s has already started work on Phase One of Bayscape at Cardiff Marina, which is a dynamic mixed-use development and will feature 115 one to three bedroom apartments across two separate buildings, as well as an artisan coffee shop on the ground floor. Phase One of the property development is scheduled for completion in Spring 2018.

Managing Director of Dudley’s, Colin Shorney said: “Bayscape at Cardiff Marina is a fantastic project, and we are delighted to have secured the contract and to be working with BECT Building Contractors again.

“After the successful completion of One Canal Parade, we are excited to work with BECT and be part of the construction of the apartment building. Bayscape is a great addition to the up and coming development of Cardiff Marina and the surrounding area and we are pleased to be part of the development.”

In addition to Bayscape in Cardiff Marina, Dudley’s have secured a number of high-profile contracts in Cardiff during the last 24 months, including One Canal Parade and the new BBC Cymru Wales HQ, which began work earlier this year.

Dudley’s reputation for quality has been recognised with several industry-related accreditations. The company is CHAS and Achilles accredited, Constructionline registered, and certified to manufacture “Secured by Design” products.

Established in 1993, Dudley’s Aluminium offers clients full in-house design and production facilities, and has completed many successful and prestigious education, health, commercial, retail and defence sector projects throughout the UK and Channel Islands.
