The Bulgari Resort & Residences Dubai

Finishing the year on a high note, the latest addition to the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts brand opened in December 2017. Ideally perched on Dubai’s Jumeira Bay, Bulgari Resort Dubai is an urban oasis on the seahorse shaped island.

Developed by Meraas, a leading Dubai-based holding company, Bulgari Resort Dubai is the perfect destination for visitors seeking the solitude of an island escape and the residential feeling of a private house. It’s also just minutes from the heart of the vibrant city and its cultural attractions.

Like the four other venues in the Bulgari family, Bulgari Resort Dubai was designed by renowned Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Both the interiors and exteriors have been created with the same detail and precision of a Bulgari jewel – pairing rare, raw materials according to colour, texture and feel, and sculpting them into objects of enduring beauty. Styled with European inspired boulevards, illuminated gardens and pools, it blends Mediterranean landscaping with the natural surroundings of the shores of the Arabian Gulf.

Jean-Christophe Babin, Chief Executive Officer of Bulgari, said:

“The Bulgari Resort & Residences Dubai is another milestone for the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection and represents a tribute to the importance of the Middle East market for the Bulgari brand. It is an honour for us to partner with Meraas on this extraordinary project, which brings the best of the Italian design and lifestyle culture to one of the most modern and future oriented city in the world.”

The resort includes 101 hotel rooms and suites and 20 hotel villas, all exquisitely furnished with the highest quality Italian luxury furniture brand such as Maxalto, Flos, Fexform and others, in an expression of the quality of ‘Made in Italy’. The resort’s five categories of villa enable families and friends to create a bespoke experience. Ranging from one to three bedrooms, with options to connect villas, the properties vary from 175 sqm to 540 sqm in size, all with a personal butler service and private pool and gazebo.

The resort’s main restaurant, Il Ristorante by Niko Romito, serves a blend of modern and classical Italian concepts curated by the Michelin starred Niko. The restaurant is complemented by Il Bar, where guests can enjoy signature beverages at a steel and bronze bar, and Il Café, a relaxed setting serving Italian-themed teas.

The 1,700 sqm BVLGARI Spa adds a further layer of luxury boasting eight treatment rooms and a 25-metre indoor pool with full sea view through its floor to ceiling windows. Guests are able to enjoy ultimate wellbeing experience, immersing in innovative treatments, therapies and grooming.

Despite its limited time in operation, Bulgari Resort Dubai has already received significant attention and praise. Its position as the youngest member of the Bulgari family will soon be replaced by two new destinations – Shanghai (2018) and Moscow (2020).

Enzo degli Angiuoni S.p.a

Enzo degli Angiuoni SPA is the offspring of a long tradition of weaving fabric with world renowned fame. EDA Milano bears the principles of renovation, modernism and internationalism, with intrinsic Milanese style which is symbolic of research, elegance and allure.

Enzo degli Angiuoni S.p.a. Accessories & Contract Manager, Larry Martino, said:

“Research like quality, is a journey capable of carrying us far away into space, into endless horizons to encounter the magnificent animals from which we procure our precious yarns.  It can carry us back to our home, to the world we are familiar with or transport us in time amongst ancient traditions and high tech innovations.

“We believe that the only way to pay tribute to an art, such as that of weaving which is so much an integral part of mankind, is to ensure a continuous dialogue with modernism.

“For this very reason, never forgetting our origins, we invest significantly in research and development in the production process.  High tech machinery is employed which is adapted to our creativity and quality requirements.  This enables us to extend the boundaries of what can normally be obtained from yarns in a constant exchange of creativity, research and technology.

“At the same time, our creative research never ceases to confront itself with the everchanging world, mixing and matching styles, traditions and desires. Our deeply planted and solid roots are constantly confronted with the current trends to give way to constantly new and enticing products.

“Not only inspired, but conceived to talk directly to the world of art, the Modì throw collection is a tribute to creativity expressed on canvass.  From shaded tones to defined and strong brush strokes, creating surprising combinations. Each throw expresses its’ very own personality and character.

“The preciousness of the materials and the craftsmanship combined with the uniqueness of the design transforms these objects into masterpieces.”
