Chips are flying out the kitchen at Victoria Gate Casino in Leeds as the entertainment venue pilots an innovative new service – delivering food to customers by drone.

Live Bar at Victoria Gate Casino – one of the most popular destinations to watch sport in the city – has today unveiled plans for a pioneering ‘Tweet-From-Your-Seat’ drone waiter service, delivering piping hot chips directly to customers’ tables so they don’t miss a minute of the action.

Hayley Smith, Marketing Manager at Victoria Gate Casino, the home of Live Bar, said: “In a state-of-the-art entertainment destination, it’s vital that we keep up with technological advancements and strive to offer the very best service.”

The venue, which offers a 24 hour menu across all of its bars and gaming areas, plans to train staff as Drone Operators who will be fully qualified to ensure each portion of fries travels from the kitchen to the table in a matter of minutes.

She added: “We’ll make ordering as easy as possible with our new ‘Tweet-From-Your-Seat’ service – customers will be able to simply tweet using #FriesFromTheSkies along with their table number. It means they don’t have to tear themselves away from watching the games on any of our 41 screens.”

Live Bar in Victoria Gate Casino is home to the biggest indoor screen in the city and shows all the major matches, fights and games in the sporting calendar.
