Windmill Rise, Warlingham
Chartwell Land and New Homes Ltd are proud to present three outstanding five bedroom family homes at Windmill Rise in Warlingham. These spacious properties are situated only 12 miles from central London, yet occupy an enviable location with spectacular views over the Surrey Hills.
The charming and historic village of Warlingham is one of the most desirable residential locations in the Surrey Downs. This picturesque village offers a variety of local shops, amenities, restaurants and pubs and is surrounded by beautiful surrey countryside. Being less than 5 miles from the M25/M23, Warlingham offers easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow airports and is 5 miles from central Croydon. Warlingham is very popular with rail commuters too as there are fast rail links to London Victoria and London Bridge with regular services from nearby Whyteleafe and Upper Warlingham train stations. Families are drawn to the area with its choice of excellent primary and secondary schools in the private and state sectors.
The area also benefits from a selection of recreational and leisure facilities. These include leisure centres in Oxted and Caterham as well as cricket, football, rugby, tennis and squash clubs in Warlingham, together, with a choice of Golf Clubs. Warlingham is located in the North Downs so for those who enjoy the outdoor life there is direct access to the surrounding countryside.
Windmill Rise is located at the end of Butterfly Walk in a semi-rural location. Each home has been carefully crafted to the high specifications you would expect from such an established and trusted developer. The attention to detail in every inch of these luxurious and outstanding new homes is evident throughout.
Occupying an enviable location on the fringe of Warlingham’s most prestigious residential areas, Windmill Rise is an elevated position with exceptional far reaching views over Surrey Hills Greenbelt countryside. The houses, which are split over two floors, have each been designed with five bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, contemporary luxury bathroom suites, gas fired underfloor heating with thermostats in each room, large landscaped gardens plus an area of private woodland, a bespoke designer kitchen with high quality Miele appliances, a multipurpose loft room on the second floor and an integrated home audio and home data network including burglar alarm and CCTV system.
Speaking to Premier Construction magazine about the development, Site Manager Damien Bradley, from Southgold Ltd, who were responsible for the build of the site said: “We have been building for Chartwell for about 8 years now and do most of their developments. Initially there was a single bungalow on the site and then Chartwell were granted planning permission for three large houses. Plot 1 and plot 2 are very similar but plot 3 is a quite different layout due to the incline of the site. All three houses are split level which is a really nice feature – the views from the gardens are absolutely stunning.
“The client is very happy with the development and although we have completed similar high specification developments, there is something really special about Windmill Rise.”
For his work on the project Damien has been awarded an NHBC Pride in the Job award which recognises site managers who achieve the highest standard in house-building.
Commenting on the award, Damien said: “As a family run business we take a lot of pride in what we do at Southgold and so to get recognition from the NHBC has been fantastic.
“This project has been really important for me; there is great job satisfaction in completing a project like this. It is great to be awarded as an individual; however the project has been a real team effort from the planning stage right through to completion. Chartwell & Southgold have a fantastic working ethos and the award is due to the great team at Chartwell and here at Southgold.”
