Analysing over 50 pubs from some of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations such as Cornwall, Yorkshire and Wales – the Pick of the Pubs guide shortlists the top ten public houses based on a series of ranking factors.

Each establishment has been individually judged based on quality of food and drink, best features as chosen by local customers, accessibility and overall reviews and satisfaction on TripAdvisor.

The Cottage Loaf, Llandudno voted the top pub

The top pub was revealed to be The Cottage Loaf in Llandudno, Wales, where rave reviews online and regular local beers saw it as a cut above the rest. The average cost of a pint in the area is £2.95, with an inexpensive, quality meal costing just £10.

A recent reviewer explains, “The food looks and is amazing, there is so much variety on the menu. Home cooked large meals that are at a good price as well as the drinks”.

The Boat Inn makes the top five pubs in the UK

The Boat Inn, Ashleworth, The Cotswolds was voted in second place by the holidaycottages.co.uk Pick of the Pubs. Based on their enviable location perfectly situated on the River Severn, the pub is a frequent CAMRA (campaign for real ale) award winner thanks to its incredible offering of guest beers from local breweries.

Buckingham revealed as the home to the UK’s cheapest pint

Collating data surrounding consumer spending, the Pick of the Pubs guide also reveals where in the UK houses the cheapest and most expensive pint.

Surprisingly, and topping the charts is Buckingham – where a pint of domestic beer will set you back a mere £2. This is over 50% cheaper than the capital, where you can expect to pay at least £5 for the equivalent pint of beer.
