This Month in Premier Hospitality 8.9

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality.

In this month’s issue we preview the Independent Hotel Show 2018; we take a look at Old Bank Hotel; and we check in at The Machrie Hotel & Links.

Returning for its seventh year, the Independent Hotel Show, presented by James Hallam Insurance Brokers, will take place on 16 and 17 October at Olympia London. Carefully curated and intimate, the Show is loved for its sharp focus on one area of hospitality – the independent luxury boutique hotel sector. The Independent Hotel Show is simply the best show in town, bursting with content and designed to help the hotel sector to increase revenue.

Meanwhile, the independently owned Old Bank Hotel, centrally located on Oxford’s famous High, is a breath-taking statement in design. The five star hotel has 43 luxury bedrooms, many with unrivalled views of the city’s most famous landmarks. Throughout 2018, a number of improvements have been made to the hotel including the creation of a new rooftop bedroom and terrace, additional features added to the luxury suites and the refresh of the remaining bedrooms and public areas.

And finally, the much-anticipated renovation and expansion of The Machrie Hotel & Links has been completed. Operated by Campbell Gray Hotels, The Machrie sits on seven miles of glorious, pristine beach, which guests can access via a private footpath. The Machrie Hotel has been closed for the last few years while work was carried out but now boasts 47 individually designed guestrooms, suites and lodges, some of which have their own kitchens and outdoor terraces. The original building has been carefully restored to its former glory, with the existing architecture blending with new additions to create a striking structure. The interior is a mix of Scottish and Scandinavian design that makes for warm and inviting spaces.

With all this and more it’s time to sit back and tuck into another helping of Premier Hospitality.

Enjoy!
