Olive Tree Brasserie

Greek-food fans can now enjoy the tastes of the Mediterranean in Lytham as the doors to the brand-new Olive Tree Brasserie are officially open to the public.

The former NatWest Bank building on Dicconson Terrace has been transformed by Director and Founder, Dean Wilson, into the new flagship restaurant for the brand with a Ā£500,000 make-over. The high-quality fit-out includes handcrafted tiles and a striking copper bar, complemented with dark blue leather seating, florals, olive trees and industrious copper piping, which acts as the ambient lighting around the 130 seater venue.

Starting the brand aged just 22, Dean Wilson fought off tough economic pressures of the late noughties and has steadily opened four successful restaurants over the past decade ā€“ two in 2018 alone.

His mission to diffuse the clichĆ© of the Greek traditional taverns has delighted taste-buds and stirred up a new demand for an upmarketĀ stylish Greek restaurant in the North West since he rolled out the restaurant brand to Chester, Preston and Stockton Heath.

Dean, 32, said: ā€œIā€™m incredibly proud to be opening in Lytham during what is our 11th year in business and Iā€™m delighted to announce that it is our flagship site. The new restaurant really is a testament to the brand and reflects exactly what we want Olive Tree Brasserie to be ā€“ an inviting place to eat good food, in an atmospheric setting.ā€

The Lytham site is a relocation for Deanā€™s St Anneā€™s venue. All staff have moved to the new venue and the new site adds to his other restaurants which include a large site in Chester, a high street venue in Preston with an adjoining cocktail bar and one also in Stockton Heath, which opened in April 2018.

ā€œLytham has always been on my list of top priorities,ā€ said former Lytham High School pupil Dean. ā€œItā€™s changed so much since I was here growing up here and itā€™s somewhere people from the likes of Manchester are really surprised at when they come. Often they donā€™t realise how great it is for food and Iā€™m always very proud to show them the great restaurants we are now surrounded by. There are lots of independent restaurants and some chains and everyone has their place in making Lytham a great place to visit and of course, do business.ā€
