A Taste of Luxury: Château Palmer

A Taste of Luxury: Château Palmer
Written by Amy

Taste of Luxury, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort’s year-long series of premium gastronomic experiences at award-winning restaurant La Maison 1888, continues on 27 April with Château Palmer.

The storied Bordeaux estate that bears the name of the British major-general who bought it over two centuries ago was ranked among most prestigious classified growths in the historic 1855 Classification. Its midnight-blue label is the distinctive mark of the rich complexity and velvety textures drawn from its renowned terroir.

The château also produces a second label, Alter Ego, a silky vintage with a clean and precise palette, as well as a white wine. The great houses of long ago traditionally created a few barrels for private consumption only; Château Palmer has been producing small quantities of the Vin Blanc de Palmer since 2007 only for select guests and establishments. Both will be served at La Maison 1888.

Guests can reserve one of the limited dinner places for VND 8,888,888++ per person.

A Taste of Luxury began in March with Château Angelus, one of the foremost properties in Saint- Émilion. Owner and winemaker Hubert de Boüard de Laforest himself was on hand at the dinner, which was filled to capacity.

Succeeding chapters planned will showcase well-known champagne houses, and grand estates from Bordeaux and the Napa Valley. Each exclusive event will pair illustrious vintages with extraordinary cuisine in the richly gracious interiors of La Maison 1888, under the auspices of Michelin-starred Chef Pierre Gagnaire.

The resort has also offered a room package, bookable online, only for the weekend of 27 April; it is inclusive of daily breakfast with return airport transfers and seats at the exclusive dinner for two. http://www.danang.intercontinental.com/a-taste-of-luxury-package
