ICW Group launches new high value structural warranty scheme

Written by Amy

Developers building major residential and commercial projects can now choose one of the UK’s largest and most respected warranty providers ICW Group following the launch of its new high value scheme.

The policy, which has already gone live, provides specialist cover against defects for single structures with a reinstatement value of up to £50 million over a period of either 10 or 12 years and compliments the firm’s current warranty offering.

It will encompass all the benefits of ICW’s standard cover including approval by all major mortgage lenders and has been made possible after ICW secured additional capacity from it’s A-rated insurer, Accelerant.

The policy covers all structural elements of the building and is designed in a bespoke manner for each project through a transparent and straightforward underwriting process.

Aaron McCarten, Chief Operating Officer at ICW Group, said: “We’re delighted to extend our offering with the new high value warranty scheme. Our portfolio of products continually evolves to meet our customers’ needs and this policy has been developed in response to feedback from our current and future clients.

“With it, we bring our unique approach to each project, offering a highly experienced and independent perspective on high value projects and a straightforward underwriting process to help simplify what can otherwise be a complicated process. That is backed up by our technology platform which further simplifies the process and our ability to design bespoke policies for each and every project.

ICW is one of the largest and most respected residential and commercial building warranty providers in the UK with more than 12,500 projects currently covered, serving 97% of all mortgage lenders and covering projects for some of the most well-known building companies, developers and housing associations.

It is also one of only a few UK national warranty providers to have had their systems and procedures full certified by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute.

The firm has a thorough inspection routine with all inspections carried out by it’s national network of experienced and qualified building surveyors, supported by an in-house technical support team.

As well as residential building warranties, ICW also offer CICAIR approved building control services, allowing developers, construction companies and housing associations the option of choosing both services with one point of contact.
