“We worked really well on such a tight canalside site and the award was really welcomed by all the team,” he said, adding: “I believe that you’re only as good as the team around you and I have a good team, so I’m really happy. In addition, this development was my first as site manager, which makes the success even better.”
He says that he has also welcomed the advice and backing of his production manager Andrew Clarke, which he says has been a great help. “I am hoping that we can go forward from this award and do the same again,” said Dave, who has received a letter of congratulation signed by his MD.
Starting as a joiner with a local company, Dave went self-employed before joining Taylor Woodrow in 2004 as a foreman joiner, eventually being promoted to assistant site manager and more recently, site manager.
