This summer sees the exciting opening of 56 Welbeck Street, design-led extended stay residences that enable guests to live like a Londoner in the fashionable surroundings of Marylebone Village.
The seven chic apartments, including one duplex apartment – each with a bedroom and fully fitted kitchen and living area – are a short walk from Bond Street and the West End and provide a stylish hotel alternative and home away from home for stays of 90 days or more.
Work on the apartments was completed in July this year and speaking about the development, Steve Porter, Commercial Director at main contractor Martin Construction said: “We stripped out the whole building back to bare brick and installed new ceilings, electrics, windows, doors, plumbing, pretty much everything.
“It was quite an extensive development as the building was in poor condition when we got onsite. That said the project ran to time and budget and the client was very happy with the end result.”
Thoughtfully designed with the modern traveller in mind, the interiors with high ceilings, abundant natural light, and state-of-the-art technology, mean stylish stays in the city have just got sexier. With no utility bills or council tax to worry about, tenancy at 56 Welbeck Street is completely hassle free.
The luxurious apartments boast open-plan living spaces, vintage mid-century modern furniture, original fireplaces, vintage Berber rugs and oak flooring throughout. With the finest attention to detail, all apartments have sleek Neff kitchens – some with separate breakfast bars – and Nespresso coffee machines, under-floor heating, workstations with MP3 docking stations and
VoIP telephones, complimentary high-speed Wifi and 40” slim-line Samsung Smart TVs, complete with a full Sky package and Netflix.
Design is of the essence with limited edition artwork including prints by Tracey Emin, Gary Hume and Jake and Dinos Chapman adorning the apartment walls.
Details include original vintage mid-century furniture, aluminium group chairs by Eames, original 1970’s framed chandeliers, tables by William Platner and Mies van der Rohe, Bertoia side chairs, Verner Panton tables and lamps, side tables by Saarinen, The Cloud XL Lamp by Frank Gehry and vintage Moroccan Berber rugs.
Luxury linens, cashmere throws and linen robes add comfort and warmth to the apartments, with eclectic Tracey Boyd hand-beaded cushions, and art and design coffee table books to peruse.
With the privacy and freedom of a private home, but with all the services and perks of a 5 star hotel, 56 Welbeck Street provides guests with complimentary welcome provisions including Diptyque scented candles, a complimentary day pass to The Third Space Health Club Marylebone, as well as a twice-weekly maid service. Guests will also be offered a full guided tour of the area when they arrive, with trusted suggestions on where to dine, as well as essential art galleries, museums and bookshops.
The attractive Georgian townhouse stands on a historic street in the heart of Marylebone Village and is perfect for shopping in Marylebone High Street’s boutiques, as well as enjoying the many restaurants and cafes in the area.
The apartments are the latest offering from Living Rooms, the developer provides unique, architect-designed properties to reflect not only the needs of customers, in terms of location and practicalities, but also their expectations of high-end design and technology.
