Launching this summer in the heart of London’s West End, Monty’s Wine Bar & Restaurant will provide a haven from the capital’s hustle and bustle for all to enjoy.
A stone’s throw from Oxford Street, Monty’s will offer an impressive array of traditional Italian cuisine and wine.
Be transported to the Mediterranean with the extensive Cicchetti and Charcuterie menu of fine hams, cheeses and small plates. Share with a friend such delights as the Zucchini Flower filled with Ricotta Cheese and Mint, Scallops on Shell with Pea Shoots and Aromatic Croutons or Smoked Swordfish Carpaccio.
The specialty menu features a tempting array of homemade pasta, fish and meat options, which include Home Made Tagliolini Fresh Crab and Bottagra, Grilled Cuttlefish Fennel Salad with Salmoriglio Dressing and a delectable 35 Day Aged Grilled Rib Eye Steak. Monty’s will also offer weekly specials using seasonal produce, pushing innovation to the fore.
Only the freshest ingredients and finest produce imported directly from small artisan producers in Italy and the UK will be used.
Monty’s wine bar has an extensive wine menu, which has been expertly assembled by renowned sommelier Antonio Cerilli. Antonio has worked at a number of leading restaurants, such as Le Pont de la Tour and Loconda Locatelli, perfecting and honing his knowledge of the wine industry.
Antonio has used his knowledge and expertise, generated from years in the industry, to create a menu showcasing some of the finest wines, including new undiscovered wines from boutique wineries in such countries as Germany, France and Slovenia.
The stylish interior of Monty’s Wine Bar has been designed by well-established interior designer, Steve Howie and Monty’s owner, Guzaliya Bektemissova, and together they have created a venue that radiates style and sophistication.
“Before starting the design we had a clear idea of what we wanted”, Guzaliya says. “For us it is important to feel cozy and relaxed and that’s why we were sure to have wood in our bar as it gives a feeling of warmth; we didn’t want to have anything sharp or too heavy.”
He added, “With the help of Steve Howie, who understood our wants, we successfully brought the atmosphere into the venue.”
With neutral tones of grey, green and cream, Monty’s has an extremely chic atmosphere, which is completed by an extensive wine wall as you enter the venue and continued by suspended frames of wine adorning the walls throughout. The venue also boasts a beautiful outside area, perfect for al fresco dining on sunny days in London.
The stunning décor is continued downstairs, into Monty’s private events space, which can accommodate up to 28 for a seated dinner and up to 50 for a cocktail party. The area houses its own bar and is perfect for any private events or parties.
When asked if this venue was the first of many Guzaliya said: “For now we are concentrated on Monty’s Wine Bar & Restaurant and we want people know about it and try our great wines which we carefully choose from small wineries all around Italy and the world.
“Maybe one day we will expand, for us it is important to build one thing first and rather not rush and miss something; we want to be confident about everything we do.”
