F E Chase Son & Ltd

F E Chase Son & Ltd is a family owned construction business based in Southampton which was established in 1959.

Having been in operation for over 50 years the company operates across a wide range of projects including complete new build, extension, conversion and refurbishment works for a diverse portfolio of clients spanning all sectors.

These sectors include Commercial, Community and Health, Education, Private Housing and Social Housing. F E Chase has a long and successful history of building in and around the Hampshire area. They have also established a great deal of experience in both traditional and modern methods of construction.

The company has managed to build an established client base since its inception and now gains repeat business thanks to receiving first rate recommendations, as well as continually delivering a high quality service at all times. The team also ensures that they complete projects on time and within budget which is yet another of their strengths.

The team undertakes projects ranging in value from £100,000 to £2.5 million and therefore has a vast portfolio. F E Chase likes to work closely with its clients and adopt a non-adversarial approach to solving any problems quickly. Thanks to this approach they continue to forge close and friendly working relationships with all their subcontractors and suppliers.

F E Chase has recently completed a construction project at Northfields Farm in Twyford, Hampshire. The works included the construction of two new office buildings using a steel frame construction with masonry cavity walls under a metal clad roof. The contract, which equated to almost £600,000, also included associated external works, drainage, external services and landscaping.

F E Chase has also undertaken numerous community and health projects including constructing The Bungalow, a new community building in West Sussex, as well as erecting an extension at Swinton Hall in Southampton.

The team has also constructed a flagship development for Mencap which now provides a state of the art residential complex for persons with special needs. Based in Havant, Hampshire the Dolphin Court facility cost in the region of £2 million and will offer 12 residents first rate residential care services.

F E Chase relishes their involvement in educational sites and has recently been involved in the expansion scheme at St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, Fareham. The team constructed a new structure which contains four state of the art classrooms, as well as associated external works.

One of the larger education facilities the firm undertook was 13 -14 High Street in Southampton. On behalf of clients Big Sur Properties Ltd F E Chase converted an existing commercial building into a 53 room facility for students.

The accommodation cost in the region of £1.6 million and is located a short walk from Southampton Solent University. The venue has been open since 2012 and is popular as its residents benefit from a plethora of local amenities, including bars, restaurants, and the ever-popular West Quay shopping centre.

The company is very concerned about their environmental responsibilities and takes this into account during every project they undertake. Their offices and yard are conveniently close to local motorway links and therefore ensure they are able to offer a reliable, efficient service within a 50 mile radius of their base in Warsash.
