Established in 1907, John Turner Construction Group Ltd has an excellent reputation for working on some of the most prestigious and prominent buildings within the North West.

The company has a number of divisions, including construction, maintenance, joinery manufacturing and electrical service and over the past 107 years has built up an incredible wealth of experience.

Operating from headquarters in Preston and with offices in Liverpool and Manchester, John Turner has worked on a range of projects, including most recently, the University of Chester. The new, three-storey Food Research Development Centre was completed in March 2014, following a 56-week construction programme.

The £3 million, state of the art centre was designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ and successfully obtained a Considerate Constructors score of 39. The project also achieved Performance Beyond Compliance.

Now complete, the facility will support the economic growth of enterprises within the small and medium food and drink sector. The new centre includes a sensory suite and equipment for new products.

John Turner completed the project for the University of Chester following the successful handover of a £3.7 million project for Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council. The Kirkby Centre comprised the transformation of a 1970s building into a modern facility, with a library, gallery, retail unit, coffee shop, an adult disability day service and community meeting rooms.

Moving forward, John Turner Construction Group Ltd is working on a £5 million fit out contract for Pennine Property Partnership LLP. The project, which is taking place at Acre Mill, Huddersfield will involve the transformation of a four storey, Grade II Listed mill building into a state-of-the-art healthcare centre. The project has been designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Good’ and is due to reach completion in December 2014.
