Prezzo Milton Keynes

Leading restaurant chain Prezzo have invested more than £500,000 in bringing the taste of Italy to the population of Milton Keynes.

The award winning Italian restaurants, renowned for offering high quality food at a good value price, opened a brand new store in The Kingston Centre in April serving a range of popular and innovative Italian food. The menu consists of a fantastic range of pizza, pasta, salads, risotto and grills. The menu also includes breads, starters and desserts.

Since Prezzo opened the doors of its first branch in central London in 2000, over 200 stores have followed suit across the UK, with the chain opening stores in a number of listed buildings and in buildings of particular local interest. Working with main contractors Gary Bluff Projects, the designers for the Milton Keynes project were Moxon Design.

Moxon Design has worked on a number of Prezzo projects, with Katy Moxon in particular having established a fantastic working relationship with the brand.

Katy commented:

“We do try to make each Prezzo slightly different and this one, again, is slightly different from previous restaurants. For this latest Prezzo we’ve been influenced by the art deco era in our approach to the design details.”

Moxon Design also added modern touches to the new store, giving the classic Prezzo interior style an edge whilst maintaining the usual comfortable, contemporary and stylish surroundings.

The location of the restaurant is situated amongst other food chains, in a glass fronted rectangular shaped property in The Kingston Centre. The centre boasts high street fashion chains such as Next and Marks and Spencer, travel agents, Boots, Mothercare, Mamas & Papas, Clarks, Zig Zag Hair Studio, as well as Tesco, The Carphone Warehouse and numerous other stores, in addition to leisure facilities making it an ideal destination for shopping, leisure and dining.

The restaurant itself seats 130 diners; 114 in the main restaurant area and places for a further 16 diners either side of the main entrance to the restaurant. Whilst at Prezzo, customers can enjoy the clear view of the restaurants feature pizza oven and kitchen from the tables. The restaurant also has a separate seated bar area serving wines, spirits, beers, cider and soft drinks. Both of the restaurant areas are open from 12 noon until 11pm throughout the week.

“We are confident that the restaurant will be an excellent addition to The Kingston Centre and to the dining scene in Milton Keynes.”

The menu, consisting of various courses, includes garlic and ciabatta breads and olives, followed by a number of traditional Italian starters. For main course, customers can choose from pizza on various bases, flatbreads and calzone, a range of filled, baked and classic pasta dishes, grilled fish, chicken and burgers or risotto dishes. Dessert includes traditional recipes with an Italian twist, gelato and lighter options stated as mini desserts.

For children, smaller portions of classic Italian dishes such as pizza, calzone, spaghetti and penne are offered; again with the option of more than one course being available and other options for very young children. The store also has a separate menu to cater for occasion parties.
