Marco Pierre White has recently opened his first restaurant in the heart of Manchester’s creative and visitor destination, MediaCityUK. Situated in the Holiday Inn, the new 165 cover Marco’s New York Italian serves Marco’s take on American-Italian food.

The restaurant is being run by Peel’s hotel division, Tower Hotel Management, under a franchise agreement. Black & White Franchising has partnered with Marco Pierre White to roll-out his restaurant Steakhouse Bar & Grill and New York Italian brands across the UK.

A £200,000 front of house refurbishment project has been undertaken to create the famous chef’s new venue and has seen the conversion of the existing restaurant and bar areas. The menu offers an array of fresh pastas, steaks, seafood, burgers and handmade pizzas for diners to sample. The venue itself evokes the hustle and bustle of a classic New York Italian restaurant, appealing to those looking for a relaxed, fun place to eat.

Managing Director of MediaCityUK, Stephen Wild, said:

“This announcement is great news as it not only strengthens the appeal of the hotel but complements the steadily growing number of restaurants and bars opening here, which is establishing MediaCityUK as a go-to leisure destination.

“The presence of a Marco Pierre White restaurant brings an exciting vibe to the mix, and sits well with those looking to do business in a relaxed setting as well as among visitors taking in the many attractions on our doorstep.”

Nick Taplin, managing director at Black & White Franchising, said:

“We have an ambitious roll out programme for both the New York Italian and Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill concepts so it’s great to have completed this deal and have opened our first Manchester restaurant in the heart of the exciting MediaCityUK destination.

“The idea behind this restaurant is to create an environment where people can sit and enjoy their life, where diners can have a good time and enjoy traditional Italian favourites at any time of the day. This new restaurant is all about providing a place where people can go for some nice food and a nice bottle of wine in a relaxed, affordable and friendly setting.”

Nick added:

“We want people to come here and make their visit as formal or informal, expensive or inexpensive as they wish. If a group of friends or work colleagues want a bite to eat then this is the place. Equally, business people wanting somewhere to take clients will find this the perfect venue.

“People who go out to eat and spend their hard earned money deserve excellent service, good food at a price that is affordable. That’s what Marco’s New York Italian is all about.”
