Chinawhite, Belfast, Linen Quarter

Chinawhite has recently unveiled its latest venue in Belfast’s Linen Quarter.

The high profile nightclub brand already owns and operates clubs in London and Dubai and expanded its portfolio to Belfast city centre in October this year. The club is located on Franklin Street in the city and since its launch has created over 60 new jobs.

The new venue lies in a historic building constructed over 112 years ago and spans two floors; directly above the Bar and Restaurant concept Shiro. The building used to be known as La Lea Belfast and has been revamped by the owners and award winning interior architecture practices O Donnell O Neill Design.

The interior design of the club is Asian inspired, although it steers clear of obvious theme pieces and the finishes and mood are seductive and experiential throughout. Guests will enter the premises through softly illuminated feature stairs from Franklin Street which leads up to the club’s impressive main bar overlooking the dance floor.

The venue’s finishes and textures are understated yet effective and feature heavily rich textured oriental natural slate, lacquered fretwork divider screens and sumptuous booth seating. The impressive double height space over the dance floor is characterised by an inviting feature stair leading up to the second floor which houses the clubs exclusive seating areas. The booth seating has been designed for optimum customer comfort and a premium table service.

The venue also boasts an outdoor terrace at first floor level; this is currently shared with Shiro but plans are in place to develop an evocative Asian style rooftop garden on the buildings fifth floor with commanding views over the city.

Those frequenting Chinawhite can take advantage of the club’s premium bottle service package which allows guests to enjoy an evening tailor made to suit their needs. This service can be pre-booked on the clubs website.

If pre-booked, guests can enjoy the VIP treatment being met upon arrival guests by glamorous hosts and escorted directly to the club via the grand staircase. Chinawhite also offers guests the chance to be truly spoilt when signing up to the clubs VIP package which is ideal for groups or special occasions.

Gordon Devenney from O Donnell O Neill Design commented:

“Chinawhite is a desirable and exclusive cosmopolitan Club that will bring the late night clubbing experience in Northern Ireland to heightened level.

“The overall effect of Chinawhite Belfast is a sophisticated, exciting, and tastefully detailed late night club. It is a desirable brand that is focused on the discerning customers’ needs and importantly is a creative evolution of a proven global design concept that will hold its head high on both a national and international hospitality stage.”
