Traffex & Parkex 2015

Earlier this year, Traffex and Parkex returned to Hall 5 of Birmingham’s NEC for a three-day event which focused on highway maintenance, transport infrastructure industries, road safety, international traffic management and parking.

Traffex & Parkex 2015 followed on from the hugely successful Traffex & Parkex 2013, by delivering another interesting and informative event which showcased a range of products and much more.

Traffex & Parkex at the NEC ran from Tuesday 21st April until Thursday 23rd April from 9:30am until 4:30pm. Content partners included Department for Transport; Highways Agency; ITS; and The Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation, whilst event partners included Siemens; RedSpeed; and 3M.

Over 350 leading suppliers displayed products at the show, presenting attendees with the opportunity to find the most innovative and cost effective solutions all in one place.

A spokesperson for Traffex & Parkex, said:

“On behalf of the British Parking Association and entire Parkex team we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our visitors, exhibitors, speakers and event partners who made Parkex 2015 such an enjoyable and successful three days.

“Parkex 2015 was certainly a busy event with plenty of busy exhibition stands and an engaging series of Parkex Hub seminar sessions with one of the many highlights coming from the opening scene setting debate on current government parking policy and the potential impact of the forthcoming general election.

“We are verifying our on-site visitor figures but early indications suggest a total attendance of 11,390, including footfall of 8,729 to Traffex and 2,661 to Parkex. This represents a 9% Traffex visitor increase on 2013.”

Registered visitors included the likes of Amey, Balfour Beatty, Isle of Wight Council, Sandwell MBC, Sky High Plc and Transport for London. VolkerHighways Ltd also attended, along with Walsall Council, the Welsh Government, South Wales Police and Rochdale MBC.

Registration for the free event opened in December 2014, with fast track entry available for those who got in quick.
