Located on King Street, Manchester’s fine dining hot spot known as Quill, held its official launch on Friday 30th October. Acclaimed chef Curtis Stewart is the Head Chef at the prestigious restaurant, delivering delicious cuisine from an A La Carte and eight course tasting menu.

The dishes, from both menus, follow a modern British theme with European influences and the Head Chef guarantees a sophisticated dining experience without too much formality.

The luxurious bar and eatery is held in the heart of the iconic city, seating up to 60, including a 21-cover private dining area, designed to serve up a more exclusive experience. Quill covers two floors of a four storey building, with the bar area situated on the ground floor and the restaurant on the first floor. In total, the venue can accommodate more than 200 guests.

Quill held a private VIP event on Thursday 29th October, the day before the official opening, with the likes of Coronation Street favourites Shayne Ward, Kym Marsh and Antony Cotton on the guest list. The glamorous ladies from The Real Housewives of Cheshire also put in an appearance, including Ampika Pickston, Leanne Brown, Dawn Ward and daughter Darby.

Guests were treated to samples of Head Chef Curtis Stewart’s appetizing tasting menu, with canapés including crispy haggis with truffle emuls0408ion; razor clam, mango and curry, and pigeon, smoked eel, orange and yuzu.


Bar and restaurant interior design specialists, Collective Design, were responsible for the stylish interior at Quill. Impressively, the design practice won one of the most esteemed awards in the UK, The Interior Designer of the Year.

Over £1 million has been invested into Quill, which offers true exclusivity to guests via private dining spaces, intimate seating areas and cocktail stations. Guests can sit back and watch the Head Chef and his team hard at work at the contemporary open kitchen, adding a playful touch of theatre to the venue.

Expectations have been high and the food is said to be of an outstanding quality with the esteemed chef having worked in fine dining establishments, multiple 4 AA Rosette and 3 AA Rosette restaurants and several venues with 2 Michelin Stars.
