Pioneering US Pizza brand MOD Pizza comes to Brighton

MOD Pizza

MOD Pizza has introduced their second UK site to Brighton, bringing their superfast, made-to-order pizza and salad offering to Britain’s favourite seaside city. Unveiled on August 11th in the Brighton Marina, MOD’s second location promises something entirely unique for the Brighton food market.

The emergence of America’s fastest growing restaurant chain into the UK comes as MOD looks to bring a completely new pizza experience to Leeds, Brighton and beyond.

To celebrate its grand opening, MOD hosted a weekend of activities including pizza and beer giveaways and raffles, dance performances by Marina Studios dance crews, face painting and balloon art. As part of MOD’s community outreach, the Brighton restaurant has teamed up with Rocking Horse, a Brighton-based charity supporting children, as their charity partner for Grand Opening Day. 100% of all food sales will be donated to Rocking Horse to support their mission to make life better for sick children and babies.

The pizza diner was founded in Seattle, Washington in 2008 by entrepreneurs Scott and Ally Svenson, and is brought to the UK in a co-venture with Sir Charles Dunstone and Roger Taylor. The Brighton opening follows the brand’s first launch in Leeds, Cardigan Fields, and will be followed by three more restaurants before the year is out.

Offering something innovative to the Brighton food scene, MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand to individual specifications using the finest fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces. Enjoy any combination of over 30 featured toppings or choose from a menu of MOD classics including the much loved Mad Dog or Lucy Sunshine. Pizzas are hand-cooked in a bespoke 300®c oven in less than five minutes for the perfect combination of tastes and flavours.

Not to be left out, MOD salads are a thing of beauty, also made to order and completely to customers’ specification. MOD pizzas and salads are the same fixed-price, £7.47, whatever you go for – so don’t hold back.

With more than 125 locations across 16 states, MOD is committed to creating a positive social impact in the communities it serves, by not only creating a casual and contemporary place to eat, but an inspired place to work. MOD was recently ranked as America’s fastest growing chain restaurant by Technomic.

In 2015, MOD earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list as a fastest growing private company in America, and was recognized by Fortune as one of the “20 Best Workplaces in Retail” for its progressive hiring practices and career growth opportunities.
