This Month in Premier Construction 24.1

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Construction magazine.

In this month’s edition, we unveil the new offices for IT@Spectrum; we take a look at Wakefield College’s new multi-million pound Advanced Skills and Innovation Centre (ASIC); and we showcase ASSOS.

Award-winning technology company IT@Spectrum are beginning a new chapter in their history after moving into a new state-of-the-art working environment in East Yorkshire. Strategically located close to the Humber Bridge and A63/M62, the £2.75m office space will bring together IT@Spectrum with sister company The One Point to offer a compelling package of IT managed services. Known as ‘The View’, the 15,000 sq ft development is spread across three storeys and brings together a total of 75 staff. Sales, finance, consulting, engineering support and helpdesk functions have all been brought together in the building to allow the two companies to offer an enhanced service to a growing client base.

Meanwhile, Wakefield College’s new multi-million pound Advanced Skills and Innovation Centre (ASIC), opening this year, will focus on innovation and enterprise to promote economic growth within the community. The college itself is the largest in the district and has provided education and training in Wakefield since 1868. With a base in three major areas, Wakefield College houses over 7,000 students from a variety of ages and abilities who study a broad range of courses from pre-entry level through to higher education and professional qualifications. The new centre will become the new hub of the University Centre at Wakefield College with its modern teaching and learning facilities. It will also allow enterprising students and local start-up businesses to bring their ideas to fruition.

And finally, luxury Swiss cycling brand ASSOS have just opened their first international concept flagship store in Regent Street, London, using an inspired new interior design concept to showcase the brand’s full range of clothing, helmets, eyewear and accessories.

With all this and more, join us as we explore the impressive construction projects that continue to shape our landscape.
