Félix Seafood Grill, housed within a quaint former fishmongers shop, opened to the public in April 2017.
The stunning interior transformation was undertaken by DesignLSM – a design agency who specialise in creating strong brands and striking environments for the hospitality industry.
Speaking to Premier Hospitality magazine about the work, Associate Senior Designer at DesignLSM Sally Williams said: “The client is really happy and has had a lot of compliments on the branding and interior design. They are fully booked until August, with the restaurant having had a huge positive response from the local community.”
Described as an intimate venue, the restaurant design has taken a slight Asian influence throughout to compliment head Chef Stephen Li’s fusion menu. Located throughout a long and narrow space with low ceilings, Felix Seafood Grill houses a number of horse shaped booth seating with some subtle pieces of artwork on the walls, with 50×50 walnut slats dividing the banquet seating, providing intimate dining areas. The restaurant has been painted white with a contrasting charcoal floor and soft green and pink seating to provide a gentle ambience.
Located on Chapel Street, Billericay, Felix Seafood Grill is open every day, except Monday, from 12:30pm.
Under the guidance of Head Chef Stephen Li, diners can tuck into an Á La Carte lunch menu and can chose from dishes including Steam Mussels with White Wine Cream and Garlic, Prawn Cocktail and Beetroot Tomato and Kale Sweet Red Wine Vinaigrette to start, Fried Cod in Beer Batter, Pan Fried Monkfish Lemon and Prawn Butter Sauce or Vegetable Crisp Bake with Lemon Green Pea as a main meal with side dishes including Fat Chips, Mixed Salad and Tender Steam Broccoli also available.
Main menu dishes include starters of Sticky Beef Salad and Fried Soft Shell Crab with Chilli Jam and main meals include Mizo Glazed Cod, Whole Lobster Thermidor and Hakka Fillet of Pork and Seared Scallops with Spicy Soy Vinaigrette.

Minton Young Limited specialise in the installation of high-end office fit outs and residential renovations, all backed by a design led approach. Minton Young’s director comes from a design background, so the company is able to solve and implement any tricky design details.
Minton Young has been in operation for seven years and within this time has worked on an array of projects, including office fit outs for clients such as Ninja Tune Records, Rakuten Marketing, DesignLSM and a pop a restaurant with Chef Adam Simmonds. Most recently, Minton Young were appointed as the main contractors on Felix Seafood Grill.
